Software I use, gadgets I love, and other things I recommend.
I get asked a lot about the things I use to build software, stay productive, or buy to fool myself into thinking I'm being productive when I'm really just procrastinating. Here's a big list of all of my favorite stuff.
Workstation
16″ MacBook Pro, M2 Pro, 32GB RAM (2023)
Apple Silicon completely transformed my workflow. Compared to Intel Macs, the performance is incredible, the battery easily lasts a full day, and I haven't heard the fans once—even when running heavy development tasks.
Logitech MX Master 3S
After years with the Apple Magic Mouse, I finally switched to the MX Master 3S—and I'm not looking back. It's incredibly comfortable, precise, and the customizable buttons are perfect for streamlining my workflow.
Development tools
Visual Studio Code
It may not have all the features of a full IDE, but VS Code is fast, flexible, and endlessly extendable. With the right extensions, it becomes exactly what you need it to be.
Warp
The default macOS Terminal hasn't changed in ages. Warp brings a modern, GPU-accelerated experience with a rich feature set, smart completions, and team collaboration tools. It's a massive upgrade from iTerm.
Productivity
Arc Browser
Arc reimagines the browser experience with a focus on productivity and organization. The sidebar, split view, and Spaces make managing tabs and workflows a breeze. It's the only browser that truly feels built for modern work.
Raycast
Spotlight is fine, but Raycast is built for developers. From clipboard history and window management to powerful extensions and scripts, it's like having a command palette for your entire system.
